Be Prepared

If you’re anything like us, you like to expect the unexpected… and as with anything wedding-related, there are definitely some unexpected occurrences that can crop up during a hens night. Here are a few things you can look out for, and some ways you can be prepared…

Guests get lost

It happens, and it happens more than you’d think. As part of the invite, have very clear instructions on meeting times and locations… include maps if you can, and always include an emergency contact or two. Ask everyone to arrive a little early if you’re super concerned!

Not everyone gets along

We’re all human and we won’t all get along. One of the best ways of ensuring everyone’s comfort is at a maximum is to ensure that each person has at least 1-2 people they’re familiar with in the group (not counting the bride-to-be as she has other things to worry about!)

The bride-to-be gets bored, upset, freaks out, or all of the above

Remember this is a super stressful period for the bride-to-be. Some things may not go to plan and she may not like it. All you can do is be there for her, and try to ensure things run as smoothly as possible. If you can book something where someone else does the hard yards – a la Hens Treasure Hunt – even better.

Drunk shenanigans and hangovers

We’d all like to think that we’re immune, but the reality of a hens night is some people will have a drink – or four – and it pays to be prepared. We don’t mean to sound like the mum of the group here, but seriously, keep an eye out for one another and drink responsibly!
